Amber Palacio is the Cat Tutor
A lifelong animal lover, Amber started volunteering with shelter cats in 2013 and quickly learned how much help was needed in the broken shelter system. Too often cats weren’t given the one-on-one attention and enrichment they desperately needed in such a stressful environment. But when they did get those basic necessities, they were much more likely to get adopted.
Working with shelter cats of all ages became a great passion for Amber and after eight years of volunteering, fostering, and training other volunteers on cat care techniques, she went back to school and received her certification in Feline Training and Behavior (CFTBS).
Amber is dedicated to helping cat people better understand their feline friends and address the common behavior and environmental issues — like scratching, litter box issues, and inter-cat relations — that often land cats in the shelter system.
